Elliot ConnorElliot Connor

Elliot is the founder his own charity which aims to reconnect people to the planet, creating a conservation community which is both accessible and empowering to those involved. He is one of the 2019 Youth Ambassadors to CoalitionWILD, the Australian Country Mobiliser for the Youth for Our Planet movement, and a recent addition to the Jane Goodall Institute Australia’s National Youth Leadership Council.

Following a philosophy of taking every opportunity available, Elliot has spent countless hours volunteering on conservation initiatives in his local community and worldwide. Those organizations he has assisted include WWF, The Nature Conservation Council, The Wilderness Society, Birdlife International, Taronga Conservation Society, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Greater Sydney Landcare, Zoological Lighting Institute, In Focus Conservation, Project Drawdown and Save the Frogs amongst others. He also established and continues to run the only field naturalists group in the Sydney area.

Throughout all of his work, Elliot seeks to act as a voice for biodiversity, for the environment- all of those downtrodden, unrepresented lifeforms which suffer at the hands of mankind’s advancement. He believes passionately that society as a whole must soon recognize its ties with the natural world and act on these if we are ever to achieve the prosperous future we all aspire towards.


Catherine ConstantinidesCatherine Constantinides
National Director – Miss Earth South Africa

Catherine Constantinides is one of SAs Young Entrepreneurs. The MD of SA Fusion an events management and marketing company, and the National Director of Miss Earth South Africa. In just over seven years SA Fusion has grown to be a leader in its field hosting high profile events and boasting an impressive list of clients such as Adv. George Bizos, Mrs Winnie Madikizela Mandela among others.

This young woman is a South African entrepreneur who has worked the Quad Para Association of South Africa, over the past ten years. Her humanitarian work has seen her work in townships across South Africa, in an effort to uplift these communities and individuals.

Much of her work has seen her adopt schools throughout the country in order to green, educate and assist in feeding schemes within these schools as well as set up eco groups and cultural activities. Her work and passion have seen her initiate, drive and implement several environmental and green initiatives. These projects are focussed on sustainability and the mission to green the minds of the youth.

She was the Editor of a South African Arts and Entertainment Magazine, SA Fusion. Catherine is an environmental activist and is involved in several environmentally driven projects working closely with the likes of the Central Energy Fund, National Energy Efficiency Agency as well as WWF, EWT, Department of Agriculture and Conservation and the Department of Environment and Tourism.

She is a member of the World Peace Foundation an initiative which is based in Thailand. Her humanitarian contribution has enabled her, interaction with communities in places such as Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines and Japan. Additionally she is a member of The International Environmental Foundation based in Finland and has partnered with the United Nations Plant a Billion Tree Campaign.

She was recently profiled in Entrepreneur magazine as one of SAs young Entrepreneurs of the year and was nominated by Cosmopolitan magazine as one the 2007 Awesome Women in SA. She recently took top energy honours at the 2008 eta awards for Women in Community hosted by Eskom and the Department of Minerals and Energy.

When recently asked what keeps you doing what you do? Constantinides replied, Seeing the difference that one individual can make to the lives and environments of others, inspiring people to reach their full potential, and igniting the light in other peoples souls.


Jamillette GaxiolaJamillette Gaxiola
Miss Earth Cuba

Jamillette Gaxiola is representing CUBA in the upcoming Miss Earth International contest 2009. Jamillette stated her reign in January 2009. Her focus was the promotion of Green Lifestyle in the surrounded areas of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA where she resides.
She is using her title to visit green oriented companies and organizations around Nevada to gain information and a deeper understanding on how to live and work green. This information will be published through the press and online forums and web networks.

Jamillette also worked closely with Fashion designer Elizabeth Caldern to help with the fashion show at Miss Earth USA 2009. Along the same lines Jamillette is working hard on her latest project called Eco-Fashion Las Vegas 2010 where of which she is the co founder. The purpose is to promote a green lifestyle through Fashion and spread their message through the press. To accomplish this she has enlisted the help of eco friendly designers in Nevada and internationally. She recently met with a fashion designer in South America who works only with eco friendly materials and wants to support her project.

Although the Miss Earth Cuba title has opened many doors for Jamillette she is using this to raise awareness and gain international support for an eco-lifestyle.

Magalie Thierry, Miss Earth France 2009, becomes ambassador of The Earth Organization France.
Elected Miss Haute-Sane 2005 then Miss Franche-Comt 2005, Magalie Thierry has got the opportunity to represent her county at the Miss France 2006 contest.

Elected Miss Earth France 2009 last June, she has the pleasure to combine her two passions: the life of Miss Earth as well as her college studies in biology and ecology.

MISS EARTH is the third largest international beauty contest after. First being Miss World and second Miss Universe. Magali Thierry will officially represent France at the Miss Earth finals 2009, in Manila in the Philippines, next fall.

Miss Earth Jamaica 2009

Jenaae Jackson, Miss Earth Jamaica 2009, is no ordinary beauty. The nineteen-year-old model and entrepreneur, has been selected to represent Jamaica at the ninth edition of the Miss Earth Pageant to be held in Manila, Philippines on November 22nd.
Born on June 1, 1990 in Kingston, Jenaae Jackson attended Williams Prep and Dunrobin Primary schools before migrating to Florida. In December 2005, Jenaae represented Jamaica in the Miss Teen Florida Caribbean Pageant, where she won the coveted title.
In 2007, she travelled to the British Virgin Islands to compete in the Miss Caribbean World Pageant; later that year she entered Caribbean Model Search in Kingston, Jamaica. She has modeled for designers such as Heatherette’s Richie Rich and companies such as JC Penny as well as various designers. As an entrepreneur she is the co-owner of Executive Travel & Communication Inc, a virtual communication company providing customer service & sales to corporate. An environmentally friendly home business, her team encourages paperless transactions, energy conservation through minimal travel and usage of flat screens.
Currently, a student at Broward College with a major in psychology, Jenaae enjoys volunteering with school children, photography, strutting on the runway, travelling, playing volleyball, and socializing with friends. In addition to her interests, she is actively organizing the launch of the Plant for the Planet Kids Club, where she will educate the kids on the importance of planting trees and how to recycle. For long term goals, Jenaae does not want to label or limit herself as she wants to remain open to all opportunities. Without a doubt this is just the beginning. The sky is her limit and the world her oyster.
