“There is not one of us that is not aware, that the environment around us is changing for the worst. Yet we leave the task to others to do something about it.”
Since becoming a mother, it has become increasingly real that the world I leave is what my daughter has to live with. After realizing this responsibility, the environmental issues that face ours and future generations, have become a priority of mine.
If we look at life on Planet Earth we have a very complex combination of survival. This means that any time a single life form dies, we also die, or at least our potential survival decreases.
Since the beginning of my career in 1967, at the young age of seventeen, the common theme of most of my paintings had been the concern for earth and it’s well being.
I knew then that if something wasn’t cared for in this world, you lose it and that goes for the planet itself.
The environmental issues that face Earth today are no longer the question of our times, they are the issue of our future.
We have so much more power than we know. The consumer is God on earth. When you buy a product you are saying good job, I support you, I want to pay your mortgage.
“So many people take Planet Earth for granted and our dependency on it.More and more of the environment, including plants and animals, are dying and being wasted. This is not the way it has to be, nor the way it should be.”
“Earth is in trouble! With polluted water and air, unprecedented numbers of animal and plant species going extinct, none of us can just stand by and hope that someone else will solve it.”
“What The Earth Organization addresses is the most important issue of our time. Our one and only home, Earth, has serious problems that affect us all. “
